The film is set in a violent Milan where the distressing and fearful climate that characterized life in the big Italian cities during the so-called \""years of lead\"" reigns in a tangible way. Commissioner Caneparo who, after being suspended from service, for his unorthodox methods, wants to take revenge for the death of a colleague. The fearless policeman enters the world of the underworld, getting into the good graces of a gang of criminals... after a series of bloody robberies, breathtaking chases through the streets of Milan, Caneparo manages to discover the leader of the gang, a publisher who wants to favor an authoritarian regime. Martino with healthy and precise skill manages to make a smooth film, full of rhythm and without dead spots; he also manages to recreate the climate, through the valid performances of the actors, violent and full of fears of those years. 8
