Thompson & Morgan - Herb Salad Burnet Seeds

Thompson & Morgan

Add a burst of freshness and intrigue to your garden with the Thompson and Morgan Salad Burnet Herb Seeds, delivering tall, coral-like spikes and delicious young leaves perfect for summer salads and drinks from May to August! You'll love how this hardy perennial thrives in full sun or partial shade, offering a reliable supply of unique, edible foliage that brings both colour and flavour to your outdoor space. Easy to sow and harvest, salad burnet rewards regular picking with tender leaves that enhance your favourite recipes and keep your garden looking vibrant all season. Direct sow Salad Burnet seed outdoors from March to May. Grow Salad Burnet in a well-prepared, moist, seedbed in full sun or partial shade. Sow seeds thinly at a depth of one centimetre in drills 30cm apart. When seedlings are large enough to handle, thin them to 23cm apart. Fortnightly sowings will ensure an ongoing supply of young Burnet leaves for adding to salads. Water the salad burnet during dry periods to ensure that the soil remains moist. Burnet leaves can be harvested six to eight weeks after sowing, by selecting a few leaves from each plant. Salad Burnet is best harvested regularly, and while the leaves are small, as older, larger leaves become increasingly bitter. Product Specifications: Position: Full sun.
