Thompson & Morgan Poppy Iceland Mixed Seeds

Thompson & Morgan

Brighten up your spring garden with our Mixed Iceland Poppy seeds. Reliable and well-loved, these poppies produce colourful, saucer-shaped blooms atop long stems that catch your eye. Their citrus colours will pop in your borders, or you could even cut a few of the stems and create a stunning bouquet to bring their beauty indoors! Sow January to February or August to September. Germinate at 18-20C (64-68F) on the surface of a good free draining, damp seed compost. Do not cover the seed. Place in a propagator or seal container in a polythene bag until after germination which takes 14-21 days. Do not exclude light, as this helps germination.Transplant seedlings when large enough to handle into trays or 7.5cm (3in) pots. Grow on in cooler conditions for 10-15 days before planting out after all risk of frost, 15cm (6in) apart. Alternatively, sow in a cool greenhouse or conservatory in late summer/early autumn. Grow on cool in full light and water sparingly before planting out the following spring.Prefers a light, well drained soil in full sun.Product Specifications:Position in: full sunHeight: Up to 35cmSpread: Up to 30cmSupplied as 1 Packet of Poppy Seeds.Images shown are for guidance only of the expected results from plants upon maturity.
