This listing is for a Pack of 2 This solder ring stopend (also known as a pre-soldered end cap or blanking cap) is used to permanently close off the open end of a copper pipe. It features an internal groove pre-loaded with a precise amount of lead-free solder inside its socket. To prepare copper pipe for solder ring fittings, cut it square, deburr the edges, clean the pipe end and fitting socket to bright metal with an abrasive pad, and apply a thin layer of flux before assembly. To solder a solder ring fitting, clean and flux the pipe end, push it fully into the socket, and apply heat evenly to the outside of the fitting until a complete 360 degree ring of molten solder appears at the socket mouth.
