Airfix 1/76 Bren Gun Carrier & 6 Pounder Anti Tank Gun\nModel Kit\nSeries 1 Skill 2\n20 mm Scale\n \nBrand new and unbuilt. \nThis kit includes parts for making a British Bren Gun Carrier and 6 Pounder Anti Tank Gun. The kit also includes a driver and a gun crew too.\nThe Bren Gun Carrier or Universal Carrier were common vehicles in the British Army from the BEF in France in 1940 through the North African Campaign and throughout North Western Europe after D-Day. \nOriginally the main defense of anti tank units, the 6 pounder was later replaced by the more powerful 17 pounder anti tank gun. However, the 6 pounder was then used within infantry units to provide anti tank defense. As an anti tank gun it was a something of a pea-shooter compared to the weapons available later in WWII although it still proved its worth in Normandy where, at close range, the 6 pounder could still take on the Panther and Tigers.\nThe Bren Carrier was used to tow the 6 pg
