We are thrilled to be one of the first selected retailers of this limited-edition Laphroaig x Willem Dafoe release. Described as a “no notes” release, it’s not hard to see why Laphroaig felt that this bottling embodied the idea of a perfect performance – it’s bold, complex, and unmistakably Laphroaig. A peated liquid matured for 14 years and finished in Oloroso Sherry casks, the final result is bottled at 53.7% abv, a strength that only boosts all the intricacies of flavour. Willem by Willem Dafoe is an open-script liquid, a whisky that leaves all the interpretation – much like the greatest movies – up to its audience. It seeks invoke feeling, rather than dictate taste. It conjured up a place, a memory, something just out of reach.
