The Ariston Chaffoteaux control knob sits on one of the spindles located on the front of the control panel and allows you to manually control certain aspects of the boiler's functionality. Some boilers allow to change the temperature and some even enable the user to change the current function. This means the user can have the boiler produce hot water without the central heating being turned on and vice versa.
